The Irish kitchen is dominated by potatoes. They form the basis of many traditional Irish dishes such as boxty (potato pancake), coddle (bacon, sausage, potato, and onion baked casserole) and colcannon (mashed potatoes with cabbage or kale). Guinness, Irish coffee and Whiskey are Ireland’s most famous drinks, and there is no pub visit without at least one of these delicious treats.
Named as a UNESCO City of Literature in 2010, Dublin is not only home to many prominent literary figures but also the focal point of Irish Culture, with a vibrant theatre, music and underground arts scene.
